PURPOSE: To enable color calibration by a color blended look-up table by forming a single look-up table from individual conversion tables at color calibration and measurement of a printer. CONSTITUTION: An original image 12 is read by a color scanner 10, and color signals RO, GO, BO are outputted to a scanner post-processor 14 and corrected to image signals herein to be converted into a color system of colorimetric digital data RC to BC. Furthermore, these data are converted to apparatus dependency data CP, MP, YP, KP by a color spatial converter 20, and thereby, a printer 30 is driven. The density of a calibration print is measured by a densitometer 70. A patch interphase processor 80 reads a response characteristic signal, corresponding to each point of a calibration target from the measured result to perform mapping in relation to an input colorant signal. The result is stored in the look-up table of the color spatial converter 20 via a coefficient table to be used in the conversion of a received apparatus dependency value to an apparatus non-dependency signal. |
