The casing of the roller shutter (3) and the runners (4) for guiding the shutter are positioned within the old frame of a door or window opening. The opening and the frame (10) of the woodwork chassis (1) are placed respectively side by side with the frame and the casing inspection hatch (9) oriented outwards. The casing is positioned under the lintel (6) so that the internal face (7) of the shutter is placed as near as possible inside the piece being supported on the old frame (2). The casing projecting part (8) is displaced towards the outside as well as all the roller mechanism of the shutter consisting of pulley, winding drum, and locking bolt. The inspection hatch is made of sound and thermal insulating material.
