PURPOSE:To provide an economical water hammer preventing equipment which can accomplish the effective water hammer preventing effect including peak value inhibiting action and an excellent damping characteristics on receiving a water hammer phenomenon while being easy to assemble using an inexpensive material. CONSTITUTION:A water hammer preventing equipment 10 is formed of a case 16 provided with a threaded nipple 14 having an orifice 12 receiving water hammer, and a large number of expandable beads 22 filled in the case 16 through a net 24 for preventing the fall of the beads 22 from the orifice 12. The water hammer is relieved by the elastic action of the expandable beads 22 themselves so as to be able to effectively accomplish water hammer preventing effect including peak value inhibiting action and a damping characteristics. |
