<p>PURPOSE:To provide a packing for a flange eliminating fear of exceeding an elastic limit in a ring-shaped packing material by increasing thickness of a hard ring larger than thickness of the ring-shaped packing material. CONSTITUTION:A flange 31 is integrally provided in end parts of steel pipes 3, 3, and a seat 32 protruded a little is provided in an external surface of the flange 31, to provide a bolt hole 33 drilled in the vicinity of a peripheral edge. The flanges 31, 31 of both the pipes 3, 3 are made to approach by interposing a flange use packing therebetween, and a bolt 4 is inserted to the bolt hole 33 of the flange 31 and to a bolt hole 11 of a hard ring 1, to tighten a nut 5 from the other end of the bolt 4. Here is compressed a packing material 2 of the flange use packing interposed in both the seats 32, but by compressing the hard ring 1, having thickness larger than that of the packing material 2, interposed in the flanges, the packing material 2, not compressed excessively, is prevented from exceeding an elastic limit.</p> |
