PURPOSE:To prevent a component from being separated, to prevent a terminal from being detached and to prevent a bad influence on other components by a method wherein a state that the terminal which is inserted into, and passed through, a hole part has been kept in a held state is maintained, the gripped state of a gripping means is released and, in succession, the held state of the terminal is released. CONSTITUTION:In a component insertion method, terminals 1a, 1a for a component 1 provided with terminals are inserted into hole parts 4a, 4a in a circuit board 4, and the component is attached to the circuit board. In the component insertion method, the component is gripped by a gripping means 8, the terminals 1a, 1a are inserted into the hole parts in the circuit board, a state that the terminals which have been inserted into and passed through, the hole parts are kept in a held state is maintained, and the gripped state of the gripping means is released. In succession, when a component which releases the held state of the terminals is inserted, it is possible to eliminate a danger that the component is separated or that the component is dislocated due to vibrations or the like in the gripping release operation of gripping means 8a, 8b which grip the component 1. |
