COMPOSITION FOR PROTECTING SEMICONDUCTOR ELEMENT AND SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE

PURPOSE:To improve the moisture and heat resistance of a composition for protecting semiconductor elements by preparing it from the mixing in a specified ratio of a setting silicone composition and an organic or inorganic fine powder coated with a fluororesin fine powder or fluororesin with a specified average grain size. CONSTITUTION:The component (I) of setting silicone is an ultraviolet-setting silicone composition composed of 100 pts.wt. of organopolysiloxane and 0.01-10 pts. wt. of photoinitiator, containing at least one siloxane unit. In the formula, R<1> is bivalent hydrocarbon group; R<2> and R<3> are hydrogen atom or monovalent hydrocarbon group; and R<4> is selected from group composed of monovalent hydrocarbon group, hydroxyl group and alkoxyl group. x is 1-2; y is 0-2; and x+y is 1-3. The component (II) of an organic or inorganic powder is coated with a fluororesin power or fluororesin with an aver-age grain size of 1-200mum. These components are mixed in a ratio of 1-400 pts.wt. of the component (II) to 100 pts.wt. of the component (I).
