PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic photoreceptor which does not generate interference fringes, moires, image stripes, unequal halftones and black spots in the white ground and gives good images. CONSTITUTION:The base body for the electrophotographic photorecepter which is specified in the max. roughness in the circumferential direction of a cylinder surface to <=1/2 the max. roughness in the generator direction and specified in the value of the ten point average roughness in the circumferential direction to <=1/2 the value of the ten point average roughness in the generator direction is produced by extrusion working an aluminum alloy to form a circular cylindrical conductive base body and subjecting the surface of this circular cylindrical conductive base body to centerless grinding. |
