A metal-cased gas-insulated switchgear unit has at least two busbar systems with a circuit-breaker (6). The busbar axes are parallel to the bedplate and are in parallel planes. The connection axis is vertical to these. The isolators have counter-contacts on the side facing towards the circuit-breaker. These contacts are always at the same potential. They can be attached to an earth plate between the pole and the isolator. The electrical connection has a contact assembly with a concentric contact ring around them inside the pole housing. The ring is connected rigidly on one side to a current terminal on a bulkhead door insulator.
