SARS coherently synchronised in a adjacent and separate frequency channels are driven so that the pulse repetition rate for each channel is smaller than the scanning rate by factor of 1/2. The separate channels are then pulsed so that the interval between the transmitted pulse in one channel and that in the next channel is constant.
