A bearing assembly for guiding yarn 14 is mounted on a fixed shaft 4 and comprises an inner rotatable annulus 6, which is free to rotate about the shaft by means of rolling elements 8, and an outer rotatable annulus 10, which is free to rotate about the inner annulus by means of rolling elements 12. The outer annulus may carry teeth to grip the yarn. The assembly has a low starting torque. |
