A drilling machine is supported on a jib which is connected at one end to a jib bracket 4 on a transportable frame 1 and, at the free end, supports a drilling machine guide 21. The jib comprises two parallel arms 6, 7 one above the other hingedly connected by cross-arms 8, 15 to form a parallelogram which can be lifted or lowered at the free end by means such as an hydraulic cylinder and piston arrangement 10, 11, the free end carrying a displacement cylinder 10 whose piston acts on the drilling machine guide 21 through a bracket 20. The cylinder 19 is rotatably connected at 13 to the free end of the arm 6. An hydraulic piston- and-cylinder arrangement 17, 18 connects the external end of the cylinder 19 to the outer end of the arm 7 and allows the guide 21 to tip upwards and downwards as indicated by the angles α, #. The jib bracket is connected to the frame 1 by a trunnion 3 which can turn through 360 degrees. |
