The adjusting lever 1 of the fuel injection pump governor is connected by a coupling spring 5 to an intermediate lever 2. The lever 2 is adjustable by a cable 4 which is operable by the accelerator pedal. A stop 6 on the lever 1 is biased into abutment with the lever 2 by the coupling spring 5. The lever 2 actuates a switch 10 which controls a valve for stopping the recirculation of exhaust-gas at or adjacent maximum lever deflection by the cable 4. A damper 17 delays movement of the lever 1 in response to rapid movement of the lever 2. |
