PURPOSE:To enable a suitable thrust clearance to be always secured by providing a balance weight on an eccentric shaft to which a movable scroll is assembled, and providing a clearance setting means for setting a thrust clearance between the end of a rotary shaft and the balance weight. CONSTITUTION:A front housing 2 and a rear housing 3 are joined on front and rear both end surfaces of a fixed scroll 1 serving as a center housing, and a rotary shaft 4 is rotatably supported in the front housing 2. A balance weight 7 composed of an attaching boss part 8 and a weight part 9, and a bush 10 are supported to an eccentric shaft 6 fixed in the eccentric position on the end of this rotary shaft 4. And a ring-like spacer 13 as a clearance setting means is interposed between the bush 10 and a snap ring 11 for preventing this bush 10 from slipping off, thereby a suitable thrust clearance 100 is secured between the end of the rotary shaft 4 and the balance weight 7.
