PURPOSE:To subdivide a radio communication area at low cost and to expand the area all over the country without requiring new land and buildings, in particular, by connecting the channel of an ISDN line and a mobile terminal equipment by radio. CONSTITUTION:One codec circuit 23 of the ISDN interface 20 of a public telephone set 10 is connected with a line switch 18 and the other codec circuit 24 is connected with a radio transmitter-receiver 30. A radio transmitter-receiver 30 is composed of an antenna 31, a radio transmission/reception part 32 and a radio control part 33. The radio transmission/reception part 32 receives the signal from the mobile terminal equipment 50 received by the antenna 31, transmits the signal to the codec circuit 24, converts the signal from the codec circuit 24 into a radio signal and transmits the signal from the antenna 31 to the mobile terminal equipment 50. Therefore, the surroundings of the location where the communication terminal equipment connected with the ISDN line 1 is installed can be made the radio communication area of the mobile terminal equipment 50 which is possible to be used by small electric power.
