PURPOSE:To provide a production method of a color filter by which the color density of the filter is made uniform. CONSTITUTION:The color filter is produced by arranging lots of colored filter elements on a light-transmitting substrate. The production method includes a first injection process to inject colored liquid drops 40a-40d having first volume to form filter elements in the area where the filter elements are to be formed on the filer. and a second injection process to inject liquid drops 42a-42d having second volume smaller than the first volume on the position where the liquid drops having the first volume have been injected so that the drops are overlapped on the first drops.
