Container support device for use with guide rails

The support device for containers (3) in guide rails (5) has movable supports (17) on the guides, and operating elements (9) on the spreader to run over from one stable position (25,26) to the other (26,25). The supports can fold about a horizontal axis. The supports for the container corners may have a collar carrier sector which in the first stable position (25) is completely behind the container-side limiting surface of the guide rails, and on the second stable position (26) after setting a container in a corner, briefly engages with the apertures for the twist-locks.
