Snowboard has a multilayer construction with the thinnest possible top layer (3), pref. 0.1-0.3 mm thick, of e.g. ABS or fibre-reinforced plastic, under which is an upper support truss (5), pref. of high-strength, fibre-reinforced plastic laminates, 0.7 mm thick. The support core (1) has a density not greater than 400 kg/m<3>. Specific net mass of the core is 0.850 kg/l max. and it is pref. of honeycomb or fibre-reinforced rigid foams. On the underside of the core is a support truss (2) pref. of fibre-reinforced thermosetting plastic and a sliding face (40) pref. of polyethylene.
