Car headlamp design

摘要

A car headlamp has a main reflector 18 which sends out a general light distribution from the bulb and at least one additional reflector 20 that can be moved in position and/or shape relative to the main one by means of a pair of adjusters 24. This is used to give an additional light distribution to the main one. The reflectors are all made in a single unit, the connections being flexible. Thus the overall light beam can be shaped to suit the traffic or weather conditions. The additional reflector may be around the edge of the main one, or form the central portion near the apex, as shown in the picture.
