PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video conference system that forms an Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network(IP-VPN) on a digital communication line connected to video conference terminals so as to reduce the installation cost and the communication cost and to provide its operating method. SOLUTION: A network center 35 is provided outside an existing network, a LAN is configured in the network center 35, a switch 38 provided with a gateway 37, a gatekeeper 39, a RADIUS(Remote Authentication Dial In User Service) server/network supervisory device 40, a switch hub 41, and an IP-VPN access router 43 connected to a digital service unit 42, a multi-point conference controller 44, and a video conference setting supervisory server 45 are respectively connected to the LAN, conference terminals of a headquarters and each branch are connected to digital communication lines 46a-46f configured of the ISDN connected to the network center 35, and the IP-VPNs 47, 48 are formed onto the digital communication lines 46a-46f to allow the conference terminals at multi-points to make a video conference. |
