PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vertically and deeply drive in a pole as well as a film prop simultaneously and mechanically on the surface of a ridge, to improve working efficiency, to make it possible to perform one-man control operations and to drive in the film prop and a pole according to the width of a ridge. SOLUTION: This drop driving apparatus comprises a traveling part 10, a prop-housing part 20 for housing plural pole-like film props S, a prop-supplying part 30 for sending off the prop S from the part 20 one by one, and a prop- driving mechanism 40 for driving the prop S supplied from the part 20 into a ridge T in a bent state in an inverse U shape. The driving apparatus has a pair of a pole-driving mechanism 1B for driving a pole K into a ridge T on both right and left sides. The pole-driving mechanism 1B comprises a pole- housing part 120 for housing plural pole-like poles K, a pole-supplying part 130 for sending off the pole K from the part 120 and a pole-driving part 140 for driving the pole K supplied from the part 130 into the surface of a ridge T.
