A prim. winding system(L1) of the transformer(T) is a part of a series resonant circuit, and the other sec. winding system(L2) of the transformer is a part of a parallel resonant circuit. The resonant frequency of the series resonant circuit(L1,C1) is lower than the resonant frequency of the parallel resonant circuit)L2,C2). The resonant circuit formed with the prim. winding system(L1) is connected at an alternating voltage source(1), which produces an essentially sine wave shaped AC current through the prim. winding system, with an operating frequency in the range of the resonance of the parallel resonant circuit.
