COLOR TONER AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PURPOSE:To maintain the dispersion of a pigment in a bonding resin and to obtain a color toner capable of forming an OHP image excellent in transparency and capable of even fixation on an envelope by satisfying a specified relation between the solubility parameter of the bonding resin and that of a resin for dispersing the pigment. CONSTITUTION:This color toner contains a bonding resin and a pigment dispersed resin obtd. by heating water-contg. paste of a pigment after mixing with a soln. of a resin for dispersing the pigment. Relation represented by the inequality 1.5>=¦SPb-SPb¦>=0.5 is satisfied between the solubility parameter (SPb) of the bonding resin and the solubility parameter (SPp) of the resin for dispersing the pigment. This color toner further contains polyolefin wax. Since the difference between SPb and SPp is >=0.5, the outflow of the pigment can be prevented. When the difference between SPb and SPp exceeds 1.5, the difference in solubility between the resins becomes excessively large and the dispersion of the pigment dispersed resin in the bonding resin is made unsatisfactory.
