PURPOSE:To sufficiently utilize the incident light of a photoelectric conversion layer in a photovoltaic device wherein a thin photoelectric conversion layer is formed on the surface of an uneven substrate, improve photoelectric conversion efficiency, prevent generation of pin holes in the photoelectric conversion layer when it is formed on the uneven substrate surface, and form a photoelectric conversion layer of uniform thickness. CONSTITUTION:In a photovoltaic device wherein a phtoelectric conversion layer 2 is formed on the surface of an uneven substrate 1, the uneven form on the surface of the substrate 1 is so constituted that the light which has entered the photovoltaic device is reflected at least two times, and travels in the incident direction. If necessary, crystal system semiconductor layers 21, 22 are formed in the photoelectric conversion layer 2. |
