<p>The valve comprises an armature 200 provided with a cavity (205, Fig. 15) and a push rod 96a which is slidable within a pole piece (32a, Fig. 13). When solenoid 28a is energised via a power source 166a, the armature movement displaces the push rod which in turn pushes ball 84a off its seating. A pressurised fluid supply 14 is therefore connected to a control device 16 via conduits 88a, 38a, 40a, 78a. The delay in the pressure rise due to the filling of the cavity (205) by the pressurised fluid enables the speed of operation of the valve to be increased. <IMAGE></p> |
