ELECTROMAGNET TYPE DIFFERENTIAL LIMITING-DEVICE

PURPOSE:To stably and reliably provide proper and high differential limit torque through low-cost simple constitution without sacrificing advantages wherein a high strength and low-cost bevel gear having comparatively simple structure is used in a differential gear. CONSTITUTION:Formation of an electromagnet type differential limiting-device is such that a pilot clutch 11 is engaged through axial movement of an armature 15 attracted through excitation of an electromagnet 13. A main clutch 10 is engaged by a thrust force generated through engagement of the pilot clutch 11 to generate differential limit torque. The pilot clutch 11 is arranged on one side in an axial direction of an intermediate shaft 6 arranged on the inner peripheral side of a differential gear to which an input from a differential case 1 is transmitted. The main clutch 10 is arranged on the other side and a thrust force generated by the pilot thrust clutch 11 is transmitted to the main clutch 10 through the intermediate shaft 6.
