Fixing shoe for concrete pile

The shoe has a baseplate (1) with bolt-hole (2) and main anchoring members (3). A rigid angular steel structure (5) is fixed to the baseplate, with its sides at right angles to the plane of the plate. This deflects compensating forces counterbalancing the loads generated by the bolt in the hole and the anchoring members at right angles to these loads, thus avoiding the need to increase the rated load for the members. At the top of the structure there can be an anchoring component securing it to the pile, and which can form part of the pile reinforcement.
