A method for forming a continuous structure (71) includes the steps of preselecting a liquid reactive resin forming material (75), a particulate solid additive material (74) and a porous blanket (77). The additive particles (74) are mixed with the liquid resin forming material (75) continuously in a proportion significantly greater than that of the liquid resin forming material (75). A pool (69) of the resulting mixture is formed on the porous blanket (54) and the blanket (54) is advanced at a rate sufficient to create movement of the additive particles (74) within the pool (69) and maintain the particles (74) in suspension. Part of the liquid resin forming material (78) is migrated through the blanket (77) substantially uniformly prior to gelling of the liquid resin forming material (75).
