The invention relates to a clamping joint for fixation of bone screws, pins or the like, and for connection of these with an external fixator, comprising two semi-shells (2, 3) which can be connected by means of screws and have receptacles for the bone screws or the like, and a ball-and-socket joint connection (6) fixed on a semi-shell, a hinge (7) being interposed between the semi-shell carrying the ball-and-socket joint connection and the latter.
