POSITIVE CHARGE NONMAGNETIC ONE-COMPONENT TONER

PURPOSE:To provide a positive charge nonmagnetic one-component toner with which a toner layer is always uniformly formed on a sleeve without causing irregularity. CONSTITUTION:This positive charge nonmagnetic one-component toner is used for a developing device 25. In this device, a developer (toner) 6 carried on a developer carrier body 3 is transported to a developing zone facing to an image carrying body 1 by the developer carrier body 3 while the toner 6 is regulated with a developer regulating member 4 in contact with the developer carrier body to form a thin layer of the developer on the developer carrier body. A latent image formed on the image carrier body is visualized with the developer. The toner 6 contains at least an external additive and resin particles containing a coloring agent. As for the external additive, such inorg. fine particles are included that are treated in a water-base system to have hydrophobicity and have 0.01-0.2mum average particle size and <=50mC/kg absolute charge amt. by triboelectric charging with iron powder.
