PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a trouble in a region of no signal between running ranges, while being capable of dealing with disconnection of a neutral range signal. CONSTITUTION:Relating to a speed change control device for an automatic transmission, the device comprises a control lever (a) for selectively operating a neutral range and running range, range detecting switch (b) for detecting the neutral range and each running range of this control lever (a) and a speed change control means (d) for performing a speed change of an automatic transmission (c) and its related control based on detection of this range detecting switch (b). In the speed change control means (d), a range decision means (e), in the case of generating a condition of not generating a detection signal by the range detecting switch (b), deciding a range position just before in this condition less than a prescribed time, deciding a neutral range in this condition of the prescribed time or more, is provided. |
