PURPOSE:To form an end part of a conductive metallic body in one process by mechanically giving the wave-shaped impact vibration from one end after the other end of the conductive metallic body is inserted in a forming part of a die. CONSTITUTION:After one end part of a conductive metallic body 5 of the prescribed thickness is inserted in a die 1 provided with a forming part 2 of the prescribed shape, the wave-shaped impact vibration is continuously given by a manual or mechanical means from the other end part of the conductive metallic body 5. When the vibration is given to the conductive metallic body 5 in the direction of (a), the rod-shaped metallic body 5 is gradually formed in the shape of the formed part 2 to complete a chip. Unlike the conventional chip, it is unnecessary to make a head part and a metallic body separately and integrate them with each other, and a method for forming the end part of the conductive metallic body is provided where the time can be saved, the cutting process can be saved, and the cost is greatly reduced. |
