PURPOSE: To provide a nozzle for forming an ultrahigh-pressure fluid jet which uniformly removes a foreign matter layer from a rear surface without flawing the rear surface by forming the shape of an exit orifice by intersection of a conical bore and a wedge-shaped notch. CONSTITUTION: A nozzle body having a first end 14, a second end 16, an outer surface 18 and an inner surface 20 is disposed. This inner surface is formed of the conical bore extending through the nozzle body from the first end 14 to the second end 16. The first end 14 is provided with an entrance orifice 24 and the second end 16 is provided with the exit orifice 26 such that fluid passes the entrance orifice 24 and the nozzle 12 and emerges from the exit orifice 26. The edge-shaped notch 28 is so formed as to extend from the second end 16 toward the first end 14 and the shape of the entrance orifice 24 is formed by the intersection of the conical bore 22 and the wedge-shaped notch 28. Consequently, the nozzle for forming the ultrahigh-pressure fluid jet which uniformly removes the foreign matter layer from the rear surface without flowing the rear surface may be obtained. |
