Combustion fume treatment plant

Regulations for dust concns. from combustion furnaces are such that simple cyclones no longer suffice and finer filters are required. Fine filters need precise gas temp. control. The plant uses thermocouples located: (i) after a water jet cooler; and (ii) before a fine filter. The changing temps. are compared with a target temp. and a control system adjusts water jet and gas flows together with a cooling inlet air flow or a gas reheater to ensure that the fine filter assembly temp. remains constant.
