The rotary vane pump has a curved ring (7) located in a housing, in which a rotor (2) rotates. The rotor is mounted on a driveshaft (1) and has slots (3) in which vanes (4) slide radially. Operating chambers (12) formed between the vanes are limited axially by faceplates (5,6), which house suction (13) and several outlet (17) openings.The inner vane chambers (30) are connected with the previous outlet opening, when viewed in the direction of rotation, via boreholes (33,33A) upstream of the valve unit (18).
