Process of preparation of N-(2-amino-4,6-dichloropyrimidin-5-yl)formamide and 2,5-diamine-4,6-dichloropyrimidine of formula (VIII) consists in that in the first stage cyclise aminomalonate acid ester of general formula (II) or salt thereof with guanidine or salt thereof in the presence of base to 2,5-diamine-4,6-dihydroxypyrimidine of formula (III) or salt thereof, in the second stage it chlorinates by chlorinating agent in the presence of amide of general formula (IV) to 4,6-dichloropyrimidine of general formula (V) and this is in the third stage converted with carboxylic acid of general formula (VI) to the final product according to formula (VIII). Disclosed is a novel pyrimidine derivative, N-(2-amino-4,6-dichloropyrimidin-5-yl)formamide, which can be converted to nucleotide derivatives.
