The method for vibration reduction in regulator drive systems with a revolution rate or speed governor (R) in which the regulated section is a vibration-susceptible system of two or more coupled masses, and where the speed or revolution rate of each mass is separately acquired. By means of an analogue or digital circuit, the speed or revolution rate of each mass is summed by weighting algorithm and the mean weighted speed or revolution rate (X) is fed back to the summing junction S1.
