PURPOSE:To improve the operability and the reception performance by arranging a JSB decoder to a receiver together with a satellite broadcast reception circuit and using a PCM demodulation circuit in common thereby receiving a scramble signal and a usual satellite broadcast signal not scrambled. CONSTITUTION:A digital voice signal is extracted from a broadcast signal received by a satellite broadcast reception circuit 2 and given to a processing circuit 14, in which the processing such as QPSQ, bit interleave and error correction is implemented. The voice data signal is given to a changeover circuit 12 and a JSB decoder 16. The decoder 16 discriminates whether or not the COTEC system is adopted and the information is fed to a microcomputer 4. The microcomputer 4 discriminates the presence of a flag indicating a scramble signal and in the case of the COTEC system broadcast, the decoder 16 is used to decode the signal and the descrambled signal is fed to a changeover circuit 12. When the voice signal adopts the COTEC system, the circuit 12 selects an output signal of the decoder 16 under the control of the microcomputer 4 and when the signal adopts other systems, the circuit 12 selects an output signal from the circuit 14 and the result is outputted via a demodulation circuit 11.
