PURPOSE:To obtain appropriate exposure for main and subordinate subjects even when the main subject is out of the center of an image plane and the subordinate subject is positioned near the center in the case of photographing with auxiliary light. CONSTITUTION:This controller for a camera is provided with an exposure control means which discriminates whether or not photographing operation is accompanied with the light emission of a pop-up part 6, stores information on a subject distance without storing information on a photometric value obtained by a photometry circuit 4 when an SW1 is turned on, performs the exposure control based on the information on the photometric value at the time of turning on an SW2 and the information on the subject distance at the time of turning on the SW1 when the SW2 is turned on in the case it is accompanied with the light emission; and stores the information on the photometric value when the SW1 is turned on and performs the exposure control based on the information on the photometric value stored at the time of turning on the SW1 when the SW2 is turned on in the case it is not accompanied with the light emission. |
