PURPOSE:To improve the characteristic and the good quality rate of a dielectric filter by working a resonator hole into an elliptic or oblong hole by cutting to shorten the gaps to adjacent resonator holes and strengthening the coupling between adjacent resonator holes. CONSTITUTION:At least one or cylindrical resonator holes of a dielectric block 1 is worked into an elliptic hole, whose direction of the major axis is directed to an adjacent resonator 2b, by cutting, thus forming an elliptic resonator hole 12a. The hole 12a is approximated to the hole 2b by this elliptic cutting work, and the inductive coupling between them is strengthened. In this case, the size of a coupling electrode 3a is not changed. Thus, the inductive coupling is strengthened to improve the filter characteristic, and this method quickly copes with adjustment and working of the filter without requiring a new mold. |
