The display unit, e.g for long articles used in construction work, such as bars or lengths of angle iron, consists of a frame (1) with a central vertical post (10) and cross-piece (11,12) at top and bottom which are equipped with horizontal plates (3, 4) to support the upper and lower ends of displayed articles.The upper and lower plates are connected by tubes (21) equipped with intermediate sliding plates (5) which can be moved up and down and fixed in any required position, depending on the length of articles on display. The edges of both the fixed and adjustable plates have projecting rims (31,41,51), and some of the tubes can be equipped with partitions (6) to divide their plates into sections.
