The steering comprises a valve unit (6) which consists of movable seat valves, located in radial bores (17,17A) in the first steering spindle section (1). The seat valves have actuating heads (23,23A) which engage into opposite axial grooves (24,24A) in the second steering spindle section.In neutral position, the seat valves are closed towards an energy supply, and the pressure chambers of the servo motor are open towards the tank. Each seat valve consists of a hollow piston (18,18A) loaded by a spring (38,38A) with an inner piston (20,20A) loaded by another spring (37,37A). This carries the actuating head.
