<p>An electroluminescent lamp and a method of manufacture having phosphor particles contained in a resin layer (14) whose first side is placed on a thin sulfated pulp dielectric layer (56), which in turn is placed on an electrically conductive base layer (16), and an electrically conductive semi-transparent layer (16), placed in contact with the second side of the phosphor particle resin layer (14) to form a laminated structure which is encased in an air-tight encapsulate (58), and which, during operation, an alternating electrical potential applied across the phosphor particle layer will cause exciting of the phosphor particles to produce light.</p> |
