The pump (4) transfers dirty fluid from the emulsion tank (1) through the pre-filter (3) to the stilling chamber (6). This has high and low level limit switches (7,8), controlling the pump. A high level overflow (22) leads to the separated oil vessel (15). The fluid falls under gravity into the main tank (10), and through a coalescence separator (11). The disc skimmer (12), extracts floating oil, depositing it through the height-adjustable overflow (14) into the separated oil vessel (15). The latter has a float switch (16) protecting against oil overflow. Cleaned fluid from the base of the main tank (11) rises under gravity up the tube (20) into the head tank (19), overflowing via the recycle line (21).
