PURPOSE:To prevent burglar, to simplify a structure, and to prevent deterioration in steering feeling in an electric power steering device. CONSTITUTION:In a motor-driven power steering device, auxiliary steering is carried out by driving force of an electric motor. A burglar detecting means M2 detects a burglar and generates a burglar signal. Following the generation of the burglar signal, a lock controlling means M3 carries out locking control of the electric motor so as not to rotate a steering wheel. |
