PURPOSE: To securely and in a short time provide a reusable fixing device which enables the mounting of a guide pipe assembly of a fuel assembly on the top mounting portion. CONSTITUTION: A holding sleeve 16 constituting a fixing device 10 comprises a cylindrical pipe concentric with a hole of the mounting portion 14. Slots 32 receiving lugs formed on a top sleeve 28 engaged with the top end of the guide pipe assembly 12 are formed in the top portion of the holding sleeve 16 and furthermore, a plurality of tabs 20 extending outward are formed on the outer side thereof, at about the middle height in a circumferential direction with a distance between adjoining tabs.
