PURPOSE:To control the electrification sequence of a conductive elastic material to positive charges which is apt to be electrified in negative charges. CONSTITUTION:This roller has a conductive elastic layer on a shaft body. The conductive elastic layer has a single layer structure essentially comprising one of ethylenepropylene rubber, styrenebutadiene rubber, isoprene rubber and butadiene rubber. The volume resistivity of the conductive elastic material is specified to 10<5>-10<7>OMEGA.cm. To control the electrification sequence, one of ferroelectric powder material selected from magnesium titanate, barium titanate, barium zirconate and lead titanate zirconate is added in the conductive elastic material layer. |
