A pedal clamp has a base member 11 and a cover member 30 hinged to the base member so that the base member and cover member may be closed about two or more pedals 21 of a motor vehicle, to clamp the pedals together. A lock 40 is provided to lock the cover member to the base member in its closed position. A stay 50 is hinged to the cover member and an aperture 55 is provided in the base member so that in an operational mode, the stay may be located through the aperture and upon pivoting of the cover member towards the base member, the stay will move through the aperture and be guided by the aperture into a position in which, when the cover is closed, the stay will form a rigid abutment with the bulkhead or floor of the vehicle beneath the pedals. In an inoperative mode, the stay is locatable in a position which is substantially flat against the cover member, so that the cover member may be closed without the stay extending through the aperture. <IMAGE> |
