PURPOSE:To provide a molding composition useful as an additive for a PVA resin to enable the melt-molding of the resin in essentially anhydrous state. CONSTITUTION:This molding composition is composed mainly of at least one kind of compound selected from an organic sulfonic acid salt expressed by formula R<1>-(SO3)xM<1> [R<1> is a 10-24C alkyl, an alkoxy, a diaryl ether or an alkaryl ; M<1> is an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal; X is l or 2] and/or an organic phosphoric acid ester compound expressed by the general formula R<2>O(CH2CH2O)nPO[O(CH2CH2-O)mR<3>]2-Y[R<2> and R<3> each is a same or different 4-24C alkyl or alkaryl; Y is 1 or 2; n and m are each an integer of 1-100].
