PURPOSE:To obtain a separation spherical inert resin having excellent sedimentation properties and easy to wash by copolymerizing a monovinyl monomer having a polyoxyalkylene group, other monovinyl monomer and a polyvinyl type crosslinkable monomer. CONSTITUTION:A separation inert resin is added to a mixed ion exchange resin bed and used in order to prevent the mutual penetration of cation and anion exchange resins at the time of regeneration. In this case, the separation spherical inert resin is obtained by copolymerizing 0.05-20wt.% of a monovinyl monomer (a) having a polyoxyalkylene group, 60-95wt.% of at least one kind of other monovinyl monomer (b) and 1-25wt.% of at least one kind of a polyvinyl type crosslinkable monomer (C). By this method, the separation spherical inert resin suppressed in the flotation properties due to the involution of air bubbles in water and not having ion exchange properties and adsorbing capacity with respect to an acid or alkali is obtained. |
