The product is a waterproofing material for construction materials of a porous nature (cement, concrete, bricks, terracotta, plaster, etc.). The product comprises potassium methyl siliconate which polymerizing on contact with CO2 forms hydrophobic polymers which partly obstruct the pores of the materials and thus prevent penetration by water. The product can be used to waterproof materials without changing their appearance and the presence of fungicide and bactericide substances also makes it possible to clean the surface. It has two principal uses: - Surface waterproofing agent for spraying or brushing onto the substrate. - Mass waterproofing for treating capillary rise in structures by direct injection into the bases of walls. This version requires a polymerization catalyst. The product comprises: Potassium methyl siliconate - SPX acticide - quaternary ammonium - phenol ethylene glycol - metal protein anhydride - water. The polymerization catalyst consists of potassium bicarbonate dissolved in water.
